Who am I?

My name is Nathaniel Heading. I am a high school math teacher at Kettering Fairmont High School in Kettering, Ohio. I have been working in education for 8 years, and I specialize in increasing student engagement and using technology to teach mathematics.

Work Experience

Mathematics Teacher at Kettering Fairmont High School
(2018 – Present)
I teach co-taught Algebra Concepts and Algebra I, and I taught Pre-Calculus. I created and taught a summer, blended course to prepare incoming students for high school mathematics. I create and led a staff professional development session on how to use the online program ALEKS. I participated in a Middle Schools That Work Site Review Process at Kettering Middle School in February 2019.

I taught co-taught Algebra I, co-taught Algebra II, College Prep Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus. I co-led and co-created three professional development sessions on Co-Teaching during the 2017-2018 school year. I participated in the High Schools That Work Site Review Process at Monroe High School February 2018.

Apex Site Coordinator and Instructor at Springboro High School
(2015 – 2016)
I helped to establish the Credit Recovery program at Springboro High School. I helped to manage the Apex Learning Software for staff and students in the program. I also managed the student work sessions as an instructor.
